Fredonia’s official Facebook page briefly featured a caustic comment about the Jeffrey Epstein case Thursday afternoon.

“Shocker,” was the word attached to a link to an online news article about President Donald Trump’s reluctance to name a special counsel in the case.

The post, with the comment, was gone in a few hours.

The Epstein case, referring to a disgraced Hollywood elitist who allegedly killed himself in prison, supposedly has files implicating numerous entertainers and politicians in sex abuse crimes. Trump has attempted to tamp down speculation about the case in recent days, including with a release of various files that did not include “The List” of celebrities that so many are speculating about.

However, late Thursday, The Wall Street Journal published an article about a letter bearing Trump’s name that was included in a birthday album gifted to Epstein. Trump threatened to sue the newspaper over the article.
