Three charged in narcotics investigation

Investigation into possible drug activity led to a slew of charges against two Dunkirk residents and one Silver Creek resident on Wednesday.

Chautauqua County Sheriff’s deputies say they responded to 8 Henry St. in Silver Creek for a report of drug activity. Following an investigation, it’s alleged that Jorge Ortiz-Reyes, of Dunkirk Dominique P. Estarfaa, of Silver Creek, and Mariarsenia Vega, of Dunkirk, were found to be in possession of an unspecifed quantity of crack-cocaine, scales and other drug paraphernalia as well as an unspecified quantity of marijuana. Ortiz-Reyes was charged with third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, fourth-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, second-degree criminally using drug paraphernalia and unlawful possession of marijuana. Ortiz-Reyes was arraigned in Hanover Town Court and remanded to the Chautauqua County Jail on $10,000 cash/$20,000 property.

Estarfaa and Vega were each charged with seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, second-degree criminally using drug paraphernalia and unlawful possession of marijuana. Estarfaa and Vega were released with appearance tickets directing them to Silver Creek Village Court at a later date.
