Four charged in Dunkirk drug raid

Four Dunkirk residents have been arrested following a six-month investigation into the sale and distribution of illegal drugs in the city.

According to the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office, members of the Dunkirk Police Department and the Southern Tier Regional Drug Task Force have been investigating the sale and distribution of narcotics from 50 West 2nd St. The investigation lead to arrest warrants being issued for Alexander Diaz-Torres, 32, and Irvin Reyes-Pacheco, 22, for third-degree criminal sale of a controlled substance and third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance.

A search warrant for the residence of 50 West 2nd St. was also obtained. On Thursday at about 7:40 p.m. members of the Dunkirk City Police Department, Dunkirk Police SRT and the Chautauqua County Sheriffs Office — Southern Tier Regional Drug Task Force executed the search warrant. Upon entry of the residence Diaz-Torres and Reyes-Pacheco were located and arrested on the arrest warrants. A search of the residence allegedly located a quantity of cocaine.

Further investigation lead to additional charges of third- and fourth-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance against Diaz-Torres, Reyes-Pacheco, as well as Pedro Corraliza Jr., 26, and Shakira Ayala-Valentine, 22.

All four subjects were transported to the Dunkirk City Jail pending arraignment.
