PERRYSBURG — Construction has officially begun on Prospect Street in the town as of June 3, according to a press release from Perrysburg Town Supervisor Jennifer Dabolt.

In the release, Dabolt noted the tentative schedule for the construction, as well as other helpful information.

“Prospect Street will be closed for construction June 3, 2019 through September 15, 2019,” Dabolt stated in the release. “Our anticipated completion date is September 15….Road closure notifications and detour signs will be posted at all intersections that lead to the closed section of Prospect Street.”

Dabolt also goes on to note, “I have been in communication with the Seneca Nation to ensure their residents are notified of the pending road closure. Any communication to the public related to construction updates or modifications to the detour or road closure will be on the town’s website: www.townofperrysburgny.org, in the red banner.”

The update to Prospect Street is made possible by funding received from FEMA last October. “With careful preparation and assistance from Highway Superintendent Dan Stang, Town Clerk Tamara Utley and Town Board Members Dick Gabel, Andy Lord, Mike Becker and Dennis Parker, we were able to get this project online for the construction season,” Dabolt added. “I would (also) like to thank Tom Reed for helping us move forward.”
