Pictured is the newly painted and restructured “Welcome to Cassadaga” sign coming into the village on Route 60 South. Earlier this week, Cassadaga Boy Scouts and former Eagle Scout Justin O’Brien gathered to help relandscape the sign on display coming into the village from Route 60. The sign was originally O’Brien’s Eagle Scout project 20 years ago and Wednesday evening he returned to continue its upkeep and maintenance with a new generation of scouts. Village Trustee Cindy Flaherty also noted at the most recent board meeting that the northern Route 60 sign would be completed in the near future as well.
