Unlicensed driver caught 10th time

CHAUTAUQUA — A Westfield man who has had his license suspended multiple times was arrested Thursday morning for allegedly driving under the influence of drugs.

Thursday at 10:21 a.m. Chautauqua County Sheriff deputies stopped William J Petsch Jr, 34, on Rt. 394 in the Town of Chautauqua for multiple violations. Petsch’s New York State driver’s license was reportedly found to be suspended nine times.

With assistance from Sheriff’s K9, Petsch was allegedly found to be in possession of methamphetamine and hypodermic needles. He was charged with uninspected motor vehicle, operating a motor vehicle while on a cellular phone, third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation, possession of hypodermic needles and seventh-degree possession of a controlled substance.

He was brought to centralized arraignment for court.
