A bucket truck of BECC Electric hangs the U.S. flag over Eagle Street in Dunkirk on Monday morning. The special salute was before the funeral service for Edward W. Long Jr., who died on Wednesday morning in Fredonia. Besides serving in the U.S. Army in the Korean War, Long was employed as a journeyman electrician for the local International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers 106 for 40 years. Services were held at the St. John’s United Church of Christ.
