Practical nursing program holds curbside ceremonies

Students enrolled in the E2CCB Practical Nursing Program commit to a 12-month-long, rigorous program that prepares them to become Licensed Practical Nurses.

It’s no wonder when New York Pause went into effect that they were determined to see their journey through to the end.

The final three months of instruction moved to online-only so that students could complete the necessary course requirements. To celebrate their accomplishments, three separate curbside ceremonies were held, one at the Erie 2-Chautauqua-Cattaraugus BOCES Hewes Educational Center in Ashville, New Hope Educational Center in Buffalo, and LoGuidice Educational Center in Fredonia.

Students and their families viewed the ceremony from their vehicles while instructors welcomed graduates one at a time to receive their diploma and pin.

Photos and videos from each ceremony can be found on the E2CCB Facebook page www.facebook.com/E2CCB or YouTube channel: www.youtube.com/c/erie2chautauquacattaraugusboces.

The Practical Nursing Program is now holding online ACCUPLACER testing for the next round of classes which are set to begin Aug. 17.

The Practical Nursing Program at the Health Career Academy and Training Center in Fredonia and at the Hewes Educational Center in Ashville will be in-person and will follow all CDC best-practices to maintain student and staff safety.
