‘Polka Buzz’ coming to Dunkirk on Friday

On Friday, the Buffalo-based TV show “Polka Buzz” will be coming to Dunkirk to tape four episodes, set to air in mid-August on WBBZ-TV from Buffalo. The Blessed Mary Angela Holy Name Society together with the Kosciuszko Polish Home Association, the Dunkirk Falcon Club, the Moniuszko Club, the Gymnastic Society of Polish Falcons, the Dom Polski Club and Catering by Fred’s will be hosting the tapings at the Parish Social Center at 324 Townsend St. The tapings will last from 7 until 10 p.m.

There will be reserved seating available, and advance purchase of tickets is recommended for a $10 donation. There will be some standing room only tickets available at the door.

Buffalo based Polka band “New Direction” will be providing music, and polish sausage sandwiches will be available, along with hamburgers and cheese and pepperoni boats, and a full-service cash bar. The event is only open to individuals 18 or older.

Tickets are available at Big Rick’s on Lake Shore Drive East, and seating is limited. Reservations of tables of 8 can be made by calling Tony at 716-467-0891 after tickets are purchased.

WBBZ is Spectrum Channel 8 as well as DirecTV and Dish Network.
