Karen Mae Horlacher, age 67, died March 6, 2018 at Mercy Hospital in Buffalo, New York after a sudden illness. She was born in Dunkirk, NY, to the late John and Lucille (Benjamin) Horlacher.
She grew up in Brocton, NY, and graduated from Brocton Central School. She received her nursing degree from EJ Meyer Memorial Hospital School of Nursing and worked in the nursing profession in various capacities for 45 years. She was a strong advocate of nurses’ rights and she cherished the special friendships she gained over her career.
She will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew her. Surviving are her sister, Susan (Jack) Raymond of Brocton, NY; twin sister, Carol Horlacher of Brocton, NY; brother, Jim Horlacher of Brocton, NY; nephew, Jon Raymond of Fredonia, NY; niece, Lindy (Ben) Titus of Cheektowaga, NY; and grandnephew, Winston Titus of Cheektowaga, NY.
