Rita Muzacz (Ippolito)

Rita Muzacz (Ippolito)

Rita Muzacz (Ippolito), of Fredonia, N.Y., age 70, died February 28, 2018 at Buffalo General Hospital from complications of heart and lung disease. She was born in Dunkirk, N.Y. on November 17, 1947 to the late Concetta (Saletta) Ippolito and the late Anthony Ippolito.

She is survived by her husband, Thomas Muzacz of Fredonia, son Matthew (Crystal) Muzacz of Blasdell, N.Y. and daughter, Megan (Michael) Keir, of Odenton, MD. Beloved grandmother of Madelyn and Olivia Keir and Dax Muzacz. Sister of Sylvia Benenati (Late Robert).

There was always a kind word and heartfelt sentiment for those fortunate enough to know Rita. Rita shone light into every corner of her life; she was a dedicated mother, devoted and loving wife and supportive and uplifting friend. She will be missed more than words can say but will live on in our memories forever.

Because of Rita’s helpful spirit and giving nature, she wanted to ensure others would learn from her prolonged illness and so selflessly donated her organs to further scientific research related to pulmonary disease. Please help us to pay this love forward by sending donations to the American Lung Association in lieu of flowers (www.lung.org).

Calls may be made Friday March 23, 2018 from 2-4 p.m. at the LARSON-TIMKO Funeral Home, 20 Central Ave. Fredonia, N.Y.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Holy Trinity Church, 1020 Central Ave., Dunkirk, N.Y. on Saturday March 24, 2018 at 10 a.m. (Please assemble at Church.) Online condolences may be made at larsontimkofuneralhome.com
