Catherine R. Carpenter

She was born in Brocton on March 16, 1932, the daughter of the late Marion Spinuzza and Lucy Ingavo Spinuzza.

Catherine was a longtime resident of Brocton, New York until her retirement in 1994, when she moved to Ocala, Florida. She returned to Fredonia in June of 2015. She was a 1950 graduate of Brocton Central School and a former employee of Miller’s Packing, Marsh Valve, AJ Wahl Co. and Westfield Memorial Hospital.

Survivors include her husband of almost 60 years, Floyd R Carpenter, whom she married on August 16, 1958 and who resides in Fredonia, a daughter Debra (Ronald) Pacos of Fredonia, two sons, Richard Carpenter of Fredonia and Rockledge, Florida and Daniel (Robin) Carpenter of Tiffin, Ohio, two grand-daughters, Sarah (Roberto) Artieda of Viet Nam, and Maddalyn Carpenter of Tiffin Ohio, and a great-grandson, Leonardo Artieda of Viet Nam. She is also survived by four brothers, Peter Spinuzza, James Spinuzza and Marion Spinuzza all of Brocton and Thomas Spinuzza of Fort White, FL. And one sister Mildred Spinuzza of Brocton. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by four brothers, Pietro Spinuzza, Jack Spinuzza, Leonard Spinuzza and Sam Spinuzza and two sisters Angeline Taber and Josephine Spinuzza.

Funeral Services will be held on Saturday morning June 2, 2018 from the Morse Funeral Home in Brocton, New York, ( time is pending and will be announced in Thursdays paper.) Friends are invited to call at the Morse Funeral Home, 51 Highland Ave. Brocton, New York on Friday June 1, 2018 from 2-4 and 7-9. Interment will be private at the Portland Evergreen Cemetery.
