Forrest Jensen

Forrest Reynard Jensen of Fredonia passed away at the Chautauqua Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Dunkirk, NY on June 4, 2018. He was 80 years old.

Known to most as “Jug”, he was born in Fredonia on May 15, 1938 to Alberta and Laura Dikeman Jensen.

He graduated from Fredonia High School, then served two years in the Ma-rine Corps at Camp LeJeune, NC. After attending

two years of college, Jug worked as a field representative for A.C. Nielson Co. based in Chicago. In retirement, he returned to Fredonia to spend his remaining years. He enjoyed playing pinochle, and trivia at which he excelled.

In addition to his parents Forest was predeceased by his brother Robert E. Jensen.

He is survived by his son Kurtis Jensen (Lenore) of Marietta, GA; a daughter and two grandchildren as well as grandchildren: Taylor, Rose, Grace, Krystian and Gabriel Jensen. He is further survived by his sister Anne M. Spencer (David) of Fredonia, and many nieces and nephews who called him “Uncle Butch.”

There will be no services per Jug’s request. His body has been donated to science at the University of Buffalo.
