FREDONIA: Roy Smith, Jr., 70, of Rt. 83, Fredonia, died unexpectedly, Sunday, June 24th, 2018, at Buffalo General Hospital. He was born in Silver Creek, on November 18, 1947, the son of the late Roy and Hazel (Spears) Smith, Sr.
Mr. Smith worked as a Truck Driver for Casella Waste Systems, Dunkirk, for over 30 years.
Survivors include his wife Joyce E. (Pawloski) Smith of Fredonia, whom he married June 20, 1987, in Dunkirk, a daughter, Hazel (Raymond) Deet, of Silver Creek; two sons Bruce (Allison) Turner, of Terra Haute, Indiana; and Ronald Smith, of Manchester, Tennessee. Also surviving are 9 grandchildren- Ryan, Tyler & Karli Deet, Mason, Dylan, Braden & Leah Turner, Hunter & Shane Smith and several nieces & nephews.
A Memorial Service will be held Thursday morning at 10 o’clock from Riles & Woolley Funeral Home, 39 Main Street, Forestville, with Rev. Michael Pollock, pastor of Gage Chapel Community Church, officiating.
