Cheryl “Cheri” Smith

Cheryl "Cheri" Smith

The cultivation of 65 years of living, loving, and laughter came to an end for Cheryl M. Smith as she drew her final breath in this life on August 18, 2018, in Erie, Pennsylvania.

An unforgettable spirit who touched the lives of all she met with humor, compassion, and razor sharp wit; it is safe to say that Cheryl left a lasting impression on family, friends, acquaintances, and loved ones.

Cheryl’s pristine sense of humor, charm, charisma, and smile, along with an attitude of die-hard optimism are only a few of her numerous qualities which will be remembered by all who knew her, and are lasting examples to live by.

As a lifelong resident of Western New York, and a master chef at SUNY Fredonia for 44 years, Cheryl’s knowledge, love, and smile contributed to the well-being of countless individuals in ways unseen.

As a loving sister, daughter, aunt, companion, and friend, Cheryl will be fondly remembered by all.

A celebration of Cheryl’s life and legacy, and uncanny ability to bring a smile to the faces of all she met will be held on Friday, August 24, from 4-7p.m. in the McGraw-Kowal Funeral Home. Friends, family, and loved ones are invited to attend to honor Cheryl’s beautiful soul.
