Nancy A. Aldrich, 79, of Jamestown entered into rest January 7, 2019Nancy was born April 19, 1939 in Knapp Creek, NY to the late Willard and Dorothy Ruper Manning.Nancy graduated from Cattaraugus HIgh School in 1956. On April 13, 1957 she married Richard G Aldrich, Sr. She spent her early adult years raising their family, volunteering and working in So. Dayton. Nancy owned a restaurant called the Coffee Cup, where she shared her cooking talents and caring nature with many. Later in her life she worked as a home health care aid. Again, doing her very best to care for others. Nancy volunteered with Girl Scouts, the South Dayton Fire Department; where she was instrumental in the arrival of the first rescue vehicle and the beginnings of the rescue squad. After moving to Jamestown she loved helping at the Jamestown Audubon Society. Nancy loved reading and learning, gardening and nature, she loved walking and

Tai Chi. But most importantly she loved spending time with friends and family. Nancy is pre deceased by her husband Dick Aldrich whom passed in 1997 and her sister Marilyn Kaszowski

She is survived by her loving children Julie (Tom) Maynard, Rick (Denise) Aldrich and Jody (Jeff) Benjamin; Grandchildren Shaye (Dave), Jessica (Bill), Kristin (Bill), Geraldine (Jason), Justin (Holly), Tyler, Jennifer, Matthew (Christina), Natalie (Dave), Samantha (Chris) and Ashley; 22 great grandchildren and 4 great great grandchildren; siblings W. Robert (Shirley) Manning, Millie Gernold, Richard (Sue) Manning, Harold (Kathy) Manning, and Dottie (John) Hayes also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.Relatives and Friends may visit DiStasio Funeral Home 478 Route 83 Balcom Corners South Dayton Sunday from 7PM to 9PM where a service will be held Monday at 11AM.Interment will be in Villenova CemeteryIn lieu of flowers donations may be made to Jamestown Audubon Society 1600 Riverside Road Jamestown, NY 14701 Online condolences may be made at www.distasiofuneralhome.com
