Hillarey G. “Hilly” Schultz, 42, of Fredonia died Sunday afternoon (March 10, 2019) at the Erie County Medical Center in Buffalo. She was born June 25, 1976 in Dunkirk, the daughter of Marjorie C. Sulis of Dunkirk and the late David R. Schultz.
A lifelong area resident, Hillarey was a graduate of Forestville High School, Class of 1995. She had been employed by Tops Supermarket in Dunkirk. Hillarey possessed a deep love for animals, especially her beloved dogs, Shadow and Pow Pow. She was known to be a kind hearted and generous person. Hillarey was also a hard worker, enjoyed tending to her rose garden, and was an avid collector of unique and beautiful stones.Besides her mother, she is survived by two sons, Victor M. Martinez and David B. Martinez, both of Fredonia; three sisters, Dayna (Vicki Heyl) Schultz of Fredonia, Tracey (Marcus) Spinuzza of Silver Creek, and Alana (Jeremy) Bates of Forestville; stepmother, Rita Schultz of Fredonia; step-sister, Tammy Davis of Mayville; and several nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her brother, Bradley (Carol) Schultz.A memorial luncheon will be held on Sunday March 24, 2019 from 1-4 p.m. at the Silver Creek Fireman’s Club, 23 Jackson Street, Silver Creek, NY. The family requests in lieu of flowers, consider a donation to your area SPCA or animal rescue. Arrangements are by the McGraw-Kowal Funeral Home.
