Anita Rettig

She was born on March 29, 1946 in Dunkirk the daughter of the late Dominick and Lucy (Sinare) Racino.

Anita a Dunkirk High School graduate. She worked at Altech Steel Plant, and recently at Fredonia State College.

Anita loved spending time with her family, cooking, gardening and walking with her dog “Chance.”

She was a kind hearted woman, with a great sense of humor, and her beautiful smile, lit up a room. She was an extremely dedicated mother, grandmother, great grandmother, friend who was always warm and hospitable.

Survivors include her daughters; Jodi Lynn (Michael) Odel, Jacquelyn (Thomas) Szocki, also her brother Richard Racino, sister-in-law Pamela Racino. Also survived by three grandsons; Jeremy (Jaince) Echevarria, Michael Odel, Jayden (Yvette) Chop, two great granddaughters; Mia Echevarria and Jayana Chop, several nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents, preceded in death by brother David Racino, a nephew Michael A. Racino.

Private services will be held at the convenience of the family. There will be no calling hours.
