Paul M. Motrynczuk

Paul M. Motrynczuk

WARREN- Paul M. Motrynczuk, 60, of Warren, and formerly of Mayville, died on Thursday, May 9,

2019 at his home in Warren, PA. He was born October 24, 1958 in Westfield, NY, the son of Paul Motrynczuk and the late Agathe Gsantner Motrynczuk. Paul had been an Ads Salesman for the Times Observer in Warren, PA. He was a graduate of Mayville Central School and Ashland College. He

belonged to the Chamber of Commerce and the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter day Saints. Paul enjoyed sports, local theatre, and time with his family. The following is written by one of Paul’s friends, and sums up his life very well: “Paul was a kind and gentle man with an eye for

adventure. Whether it was acting, sporting events, or travel, Paul was always planning his next great exploit. Whether it was a concert, Bills game, Bonnies basketball or a trip to his

favorite places in the world, Paul was ready to go. He was always available to get together and enjoy time hanging out with his friends. His first love was the radio, taking him to Ashland

University to learn the craft. After a stint at WDOE (Dunkirk), he landed in Virginia after college and was on the airwaves doing promos and selling ads. Sales became his passion. ‘Always Be Closing’, he would joke. He was an enthusiastic supporter of the Richmond Squirrels baseball team and got a big kick out of Nutzy, the team mascot. He also had a place in his heart for the sky. Moving on from sales, he worked at the Richmond, VA airport which gave him a chance to take to the skies. He traveled and even took flying lessons. You could find Paul on the weekend at the many flea markets and yard sales that dot the land. He was an avid collector of antiques which he enthusiastically would show off when visitors stopped by or talked about his experiences selling items on eBay. After many years in Virginia, he made his way back to New York State at a fortuitous time. He was home in time to support his family when his mother, Agathe (Aggie) experienced a stroke. He enjoyed times with his nieces and nephews and enjoyed the fruit of labor of the many craft breweries in Western New York. His kind spirit will surely be encouraging and comforting to those he loved into infinity.” He is survived by his father; Paul Motynczuk of Mayville, one brother; Peter (Toni) Motrynczuk of Chester, VA, three sisters;

Renate (David Daley) Hildum, of Corry, PA, Roswita (Thomas) McMaster of Mayville, and Linda (Don) Dougan of Brocton, and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews. Paul was preceded in death by his mother; Agathe Motrynczuk. The family will receive friends from 6-8PM on Thursday, May 23, 2019 at the Freay Funeral Home in Mayville (139 S Erie st). A private memorial mass will be held at a later date at St. Mary of Lourdes RC Church in Mayville (24 E

Chautauqua St). FH Todd Remick will be the celebrant. Burial will be in the Mayville Cemetery.
