Helen R. Szymanski

She was born October 2, 1930 in South Dayton, NY the daughter of the late Orson and Bertha (Volk) Ruckh.

Mrs. Szymanski was married to Fred Szymanski who predeceased her on December 4, 1996.

She was employed for many years at Campbell’s, Super Duper and Jubille grocery stores in Gowanda,NY.

She was a member of the American Legion Aux. in South Dayton, NY, Slovenian Club in Gowanda, NY and VFW Aux. in Cherry Creek, NY.

Mrs. Szymanski is survived by a son Joseph (Lesa) Szymanski of Sandy, Utah and 2 daughters Julie (Rick) Young of Cherry Creek, NY and Janis Szymanski of South Dayton, NY and 8 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Besides her loving husband she was predeceased by 3 brothers Vernon, Donald and Robert Ruckh and 3 sisters Myrtle Warren, Dorothy Farnham and Marjorie Szymanski.

A Memorial Service will be held at a later date to be announced.

Memorials may be made to the South Dayton Vol. Fire Dept. and the family would like to thank WCA Home and Chautauqua Nursing and Rehabilitation for the wonderful care of their mother.
