Raymond L. Peters

Raymond L. Peters, 70, formerly of Fredonia, NY, passed away peacefully at Absolut of Westfield, following a long and courageous battle with Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s disease. He fought it bravely for ten years. He passed away with his family at his side.

He was born July 23, 1948 to the late Paul and Dorothy (Sayet) Peters.

Ray loved being outdoors, doing every kind of landscaping, sometimes even doing the neighbors’ yards. Prior to his illness, he was employed by the Village of Fredonia for 20

years and also the Westfield Disposal Service of Westfiled, NY, when his family was young.

Most of all, he enjoyed being with his family and his little dogs, Chance and Abby, with whom he made many memories. He was known for his abundance of energy and his ability to make everyone laugh.

Ray is survived by his wife, Mary Ann (Tramuta), children, Katelyn Peters and Will (Amy) Fuentes of CA and grandchildren Mattie and Lyla Fuentes. He is further survived by his

brothers: Paul Peters, Jr. of Gowanda, NY, Harold (Sue) Peters of Delevan, NY, Kenneth Peters of Franklinville, NY, Herman and Duane Peters of Jamestown, NY, and David

Peters of Fredonia, NY; sisters: Diane Gray of Franklinville, NY and Wanita Peters of Fredonia, NY; brothers-in-law, Donato and Jeff Tramuto of Maine and Joe (Janice) Tramuta of Fredonia, NY.

Besides his parents and in-laws, Jerry (Martha) Tramuta, Raymond was predeceased by his son, Raymond Peters, his sisters, Shirley Koester and Linda Pryll, and nephew,

Brenner Pryll.

On July 6, 2019, at 11:00 AM Celebration of Raymond’s Life will be held at the Salvation Army on 704 Central Avenue in Dunkirk, NY, with the Reverend Vern Seekings, officiating. All Are Welcome!
