Roslyn C. Manning

Roslyn C. Manning, 87, of Overhiser Road, Forestville, passed away Friday, January 4th, 2019. She was born in Brant, on April 1, 1931, the daughter of the late George and Laura (White) Cook.

She was a graduate of Silver Creek Central School, Class of 1948 and worked as a Supervisor of Contract Health for the Seneca Nation of Indians Health Dept. for 25 years. Mrs. Manning was a member of St. Alban’s Episcopal Church, Silver Creek, Silver Chapter Order of Eastern Star Chapter No. 288, Native Elders Association and Seneca Hymn Singers.

Survivors include her husband Lester H. Manning, of Forestville, whom she married on January 14, 1950 in the First United Church, Silver Creek; six sons, Larry (Cindy), David (Rebecca), John, Michael, Dennis (Daphne) and Gregory; two daughters, Lou Anne and Carol and a sister, Betty Jean Jacobs. Also surviving are nine grandchildren, seven great grandchildren and several nieces & nephews.

Besides her parents she was predeceased by a son, Jeffrey Manning; two brothers, Charles “Buddy” White, Ronald Cook, Sr. and by three sisters Doris Titus, Marlene Rubeck and Geraldine Greene.

A Memorial Service will be held Saturday morning, June 15th, at 11 o’clock, from St. Alban’s Episcopal Church, 4 Lake Avenue, Silver Creek.
