Nancy F. Treni

She was born May 4, 1938 in Dunkirk, the daughter of the late Benjamin and Dorothy (Negro) Cerrie. A lifelong area resident, Nancy had been employed as an office assistant at the State University of New York at Fredonia. She was a member of the Dunkirk Senior Center.

An avid bingo player, Nancy also enjoyed cooking, traveling, and watching the Buffalo Bills and Sabres. She made friends everywhere she went.

Survivors include four sons, Steve Treni of Dallas, TX, Mark (Lucy) Treni of Raleigh, NC, Jeff Treni of Dunkirk, and Wayne Treni of Dallas, TX; two daughters, Julie (Ray) Bienik of Buffalo and Karen (Rox) Altman of Advance, NC; one sister, Patricia Cerrie of Dunkirk; three grandchildren, Justin Perry, John Perry, and Neil Treni; five great grandchildren, Jacob, Oliver, Hadley, Avery, and Julianne Perry; and several nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Benjamin, Daniel, and Robert Cerrie; and two sisters, Rosemary Thomas and Joanne Haase.

Memorial services will be held Saturday, Oct. 5, 2019 at 11 a.m. in the McGraw-Kowal Funeral Home. The Rev. Dennis G. Riter will officiate. Entombment will be in the Columbarium of Willowbrook Park Cemetery.
