Robert “Bob-O” J. Mangus Jr., 38, died at Brooks Memorial Hospital in Dunkirk, NY, on September 9, 2019, following a long and courageous battle

with cancer. He was a true fighter.

He was born on October 25, 1980 in Dunkirk, NY to Robert J. Mangus, Sr. and Katherine Burchett (Larry) Greco. Bobby received his education through the Fredonia School System and founded his own company, Mangus Construction, since he enjoyed doing construction work. In his spare

time, he liked to fish and hunt. He was also an accomplished wrestler who had many awards and medals to his credit. Bob-O graduated from a culinary arts school and was a distinguished chef.

Besides his parents, Bobby is survived by his loving wife, Sierra Lawhead Mangus; his children, Dominick J. Mangus, Anthony J. Miller, and Gavin J. Mangus; sisters: Malissa Stone Manguso, Nicole (Jude) Gardner, Patrina Wright, Trisha (Tom) Fleissner, Carla Mangus, Irene Mangus, and Ashley

Mangus; his step-mother, Kasey (Gloss) Crowe; and his maternal grandmother, Shirley Hickling, in FL.

He was predeceased by his paternal grandparents, Agnes Mangus Seybold and Frank Mangus, and maternal grandfather, Robert Burchett.

Robert’s funeral service will be held on Saturday, September 21, 2019 at 11 a.m. in the Fantauzzi Funeral Home, 82 East Main Street, Fredonia, NY. relatives and friends are invited to call at the funeral home from 9-11 a.m.. From 11:30 a.m.-3 p.m., people are invited to the Silver Creek Firemen’s Club on Jackson Street in Silver Creek, NY to participate in a luncheon and celebration of Bob-O’s live.
