Meredyth Muriel Bloss Meadows
Meredyth Muriel Bloss Meadows, 88, of Jamestown and formerly of Westfield and Sherman, went to be with the LORD on Thursday, December 5, 2019 at the Heritage Park Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Jamestown, NY.
She was born March 23, 1931 in North East, PA, the daughter of the late Roy and Ethel Hellyer Bloss.
Meredyth had worked at Westfield Memorial Hospital as the Dietary Supervisor.
She enjoyed traveling, embroidery, reading, and time with friends and family.
Meredyth is survived by her daughter; Kim (Larry) Carris, a daughter in law; Joanne Meadows, a son in law; Philip Hall, a niece; Kathy Thompson, eleven grandchildren, twenty one great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband; George Meadows, whom she married July 15, 1949 in Sherman, NY, her parents, a son; Roy Meadows, a daughter; Laine Hall, two sisters; Marvelyn Courtney and Maxine Bloss, and three brothers; Harlan Bloss, Harold (Gracie) Bloss, and Malcom Bloss.
The funeral will be held at 1PM on Wednesday, December 11, 2019 at the Freay Funeral Home in Mayville (139 S Erie St). A friend of the family, Andrew Frudd, will officiate. Burial will be in the Dewittville Cemetery.
The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the funeral (12-1PM), at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations can be made to Chautauqua Hospice and Palliative Care (20 W. Fairmount Ave, Lakewood, NY 14750).
