Christal H. Mitchell

Born into the Wolf Clan July 16, 1955.

Christal was a receptionist at the AOA program with the Seneca a Nation.

Survivors include her father Bergal Mitchell of Irving, children; Jeremy (Carlyn) Mitchell of Mt. Laurel, NJ, Patricia Strohmeyer of Gowanda and Devan Smith of Buffalo. Grandchildren; Sarah (Graham), Jacob(Taylor), Christian (Becca), Elena, Arianna, Makayla, Ruby, Jayde and Draydon. Christal is also survived by her siblings Sharon Tallchief of Angola, Veronica Stevens of Gowanda, Victoria (David) Mercado of Gowanda, Juanita Williams of Ill., Michelle Mitchell of Irving, Bergal III (Rachel) Mitchell of Gowanda, Lee (Richard) Mitchell-Harris of Warsaw along with step siblings Gilbertine Halftown of Salamanca and Theresa Halftown also of Salamanca. Several nieces and nephews also survive.

Christal was preceded in death by her mother Marilyn P. (Huff) Mitchell who passed away 10 days prior to Christal (January 13, 2020), brothers and sisters; Barry Halftown, Natalie Halftown, David Mitchell, (wife Kristin survives) and the late Vanessa Halftown.

Friends may call after 2 p.m. at the family residence 12548 Route 438 Irving Saturday and all day Sunday, funeral services will be held Monday Jan. 27, at 10 a.m. from the Church of a Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints Route 438 with burial to follow in the church cemetery. Arrangements are by the SCHINDLER FUNERAL HOME 44 Center St. Gowanda.
