James Karin Lennertz

He was born February 3, 1930 in Dunkirk, NY son of the late Richard and Beatrice (Karin) Lennertz.

He is survived by his loving wife of 69 years the former Virginia Schrantz.

He was a manager of the previous Farner and Parker in Gowanda for many years.

Besides his wife, he is survived by children; Paula and Jim DeCarlo of Gross Point, MI, James and Debra Lennertz Jr. of Dublin, Ireland, and Eric and Rose Lennertz of Hamburg, NY. Also grandfather of Dr. Tracy and Ryan Lennertz Sowinski, Jessica and Jackson Lennertz Tonti, James and Chelsea Decarlo, and Kevin Lennertz. He was great-grandfather of Henry and Cole Pascoe, Kingsley and Oliver Tonti, and Elliott and Emerson Sowinski as well as survived by a brother, Robert and Esther Lennertz, and brother-in-law’s Peggy and Wane Gloss, Jack and Marion Schrantz, Mary Lou Smith, Sally Lennertz, and Margaret Mary Lennertz as well as survived by several special nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held in Jim’s honor at a later time at the convenience of the family.

Memorials may be to a charity of the donor’s choice.
