Mary P. Gangi
Mary P. Gangi age 97, formerly from Sheridan, NY, passed away peacefully in Matthews, NC on February 11, 2020. She was born September 21, 1922 in Jamestown, NY to Joseph and Frances (Paterniti) Ferrau. She was predeceased by her loving husband, Vincent M. Gangi.
Mary worked in the retail clothing industry for many years, but her true passion was serving the church where she was a communicant at St. John Bosco and St. Anthony Roman Catholic Churches. She was also very active in the Fredonia Seniors Organization where she served as a secretary.
She is survived by daughter, Mary Frances Ingrao (Tony) Matthews, NC, son, James M. Gangi (Holly) Coconut Creek, FL. Grandchildren; Jeffrey In-grao (Jessica), Indian Trail, NC, Jason Ingrao (Liz) Miami, FL, Devon Gangi, Sacramento, CA, Dayna Cargill (Jake), Lynn Haven, FL, great grandchildren, several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Besides her parents and husband, she was predeceased by a brother, Anthony Ferrau, sisters, Genevieve LaTone and Dorothy Fachetti. She is survived by sisters Theresa Civil (Westbury, NY), Diane Manzella (Fredonia, NY) and brother Joseph Ferrau (Freemont, CA).
The family is in the care of Heritage Funeral Home Indian Trial Chapel. A memorial service will be held at the convenience of the family.
