Ronald N. Ranus
Ronald Ranus age 81, died on February 12th, 2020 after a short illness. Ron was born on April 1, 1938 to Ann and Alexander Ranus of Dunkirk, New York. He lived a full life filled with achievement and much success.
He graduated from the University of Buffalo earning a Bachelor of Science Degree and a Juris Doctor of Law Degree. He earned a law license in several states most prominent in the state of New York.
Ron served two years in the Army after which he began his career in law. At the time of his death he was an Administrative Law Judge for the State of New York.
He enjoyed sports and was an excellent tennis and basketball player.
Ron is survived by his brother Robert (Carol) Ranus, his sister Patricia Ranus Adiutori, his former wife Carol Brownell Ranus, and his nieces and nephews: Shelly Ranus, Robbie Ranus, Lesley (Brian) Pendowski, Jaime (TJ) Schuler, Kristen Ranus, Anthony (Cheryl) Adiutori, Alicia (Brian) Vonderhorst and Candace (Brendan) Troy.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brother-in-law, Ernest Adiutori.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial which will be celebrated Friday, February 21, 2020 at Noon in Blessed Mary Angela Parish, Church of St. Hyacinth. Calling hours will be held Friday morning from 9-11 in the McGraw-Kowal Funeral Home. Burial will be in St. Hyacinth’s Cemetery.
