Lynn A. Trask

He was born in Silver Creek, NY on August 17, 1946 the son of the late James and Norma (Scott) Trask. He married Marlene Fiutko on May 21,1966 at St. John Bosco Church in Sheridan, NY.

Surviving are his beloved wife of 53 years Marlene Trask; a son Scott (Sherri) Trask of Sheridan, NY; two cherished granddaughters, Jessica and Allison Trask; a sister, Evelyn Dloniak of Dunkirk, NY.

In addition to his parents Lynn was predeceased by his brother, Keith Trask.

Lynn was 1964 graduate of Silver Creek High School he was a proud patriot who served in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War. He received the National Defense Service Medal, Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal and the Vietnam Service Medal. After getting out of the Navy Lynn enrolled at the Pittsburgh Institute of Aeronautics, graduating with an Aeronautics Engineering Degree. Lynn went to work for Sears retiring as the Automotive Manager after 38 years of service most of it in Bristol, CT.

He grew up on the family farm in Sheridan established in 1856 by his grandparents. Lynn enjoyed gardening, collecting antique tractors, wood-working, arts& crafts. He also was a member of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel R.C. Church in Silver Creek.

Due to the restrictions on social gatherings the visitation will be private. A graveside service will be held on Thursday, April 2,2020 at 10a.m. at the Sheridan Cemetery, Sheridan, NY.

The family suggests memorial contributions in Lynn’s memory to the Chautauqua Hospice & Palliative Care 20 West Fairmount Ave. Lakewood, NY 14750.
