Morris E. Ashline Jr.
Morris E. Ashline Jr., 75, formerly of Forestville, N.Y.. passed away May 20, 2020. in Surprise, Ariz. Morris finally won his three year battle with Multiple Myeloma and Plasma Cell Leukemia.
Morris was born in Marigold, Miss., to Morris and Myrtis (Kelly) Ashline.
He served in the US Army National Guard where he was a tank operator. Morris drove truck for Petri Baking Products and The Red Wing Company for 38 years combined. In retirement he enjoyed fishing, cowboy and war movies, raking his pine needles and spending time with his grandsons.
Morris is survived by his wife of 56 years, Sandra (Mackie): daughters: Laurie (Darci) Ashline and Kelly (Douglas) Opferbeck. He also leaves behind six grandchildren: Valorie, Erica, Ashley, Jamie, Nickolas and Joshua. He also had three great-grandchildren. Morris was preceded in death by an infant son, Russell; a daughter, June; his parents; and two sisters.
Honoring Morris’s wishes his body was donated to Science Care of Phoenix. As a lover of all things science he wished to continue helping others explore and discover.
A celebration of life will be held at the family’s discretion. Donations may be made to Hospice of the Valley at Hospice of the Valley Surprise PCU, 14066 West Waddell Road, Surprise, AZ 85379
