Richard S. Saden

Richard S. Saden, formerly of Fredonia, N.Y., died at the Chautauqua Nursing and Rehabilitation Center on July 16, 2020, following a lengthy illness. He was born in the Village of Fredonia, N.Y., on Dec 18, 1925, to the late John C. and Margaret (Williams) Saden.

He graduated from Fredonia High School and on July 31, 1948, Richard married Agnus Jane (Gregory) Saden in Fredonia, N.Y., and with whom he is now reunited for eternity.

Dick worked as a salesman associate of farming supplies at C&E Agway in Fredonia, N.Y., and was part-time grape farmer. He was a former member of the Baptist Church in Fredonia and belonged to many social clubs in Dunkirk, N.Y. Bowling and horseshoes were his favorite activities

Besides his parents and his wife, Jane, he was preceded in death by three sisters and brothers.

Dick is survived by his daughter, Karen Saden Mourer; and three sons: Richard James, William Paul and Alan Edward Saden. He is further survived by 10 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

At the family’s request, there will be no visitation and the interment will be private,
