Henrietta M. Graziano

BROCTON — Henrietta M. Graziano, 85, of Brocton, N.Y., passed away Sept. 24, 2020, in Hamot Medical Center in Erie, Pa., from injuries sustained in a motor vehicle accident earlier that day in the town of Sheridan, N.Y.

Henrietta was born April 12, 1935, in Lewiston, Maine, a daughter to the late Henri and Juliette (Caron) Gastonguay. She also attended and graduated Edward Little High School there.

In 1957, she married Carmen Graziano who preceded her in death in 1980. She was a member of the Brocton American Legion Post 434, and had been employed and retired from Niagara Therapy in Brocton, N.Y.

Henrietta was involved in the “Granny” program at Brocton Central School and loved helping out in the classroom. The kids all loved her and she loved them as well.

She loved to bowl, and was in both night and day leagues. Henrietta frequently visited the library and loved reading anything she got her hands on. She had a green thumb for gardening and all that knew her were envious for her gifted gardening talent.

Henrietta is survived by her daughter, Antoinette Blankenship of South Dayton, N.Y.’ her three sons: Angelo (Tina) Graziano and Carmen (Shari) Graziano, both of Forestville, N.Y., and Joseph (Sherry) Graziano of Westfield, N.Y. She is also survived by her two sisters: Terry Foster of Yarmouth, Maine, and Monique (James) Sullivan of Auburn, Maine; her brother, Ray (Tina) Gastonguay of Palm Beach, Fla.; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren’ and several nieces and nephews further survive. Henrietta was grateful for all her dear and loving friends whom she leaves behind.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two sisters: Rita Dyer and Rose LaChapelle.

As per Henrietta’s wishes, all funeral services will be held privately with burial in Portland Evergreen Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made in her honor to the Brocton Volunteer Fire Department’s Rescue Squad, 80 Lake Ave., Brocton, NY 14716.
