Linda L. (Mancuso) Seybold

Linda L. (Mancuso) Seybold, 69,of Fredonia, N.Y., died the evening of Aug. 9, 2020, at Brooks Memorial Hospital in Dunkirk, N.Y.

She was born in Dunkirk, N.Y., on June 9, 1951, to the late Cosimo and Jennie Mancuso.

Linda graduated from Fredonia High School and on September 1980, she married Mark Seybold at Holy Trinity Church in Dunkirk, N.Y. Besides being a loving wife and mother, raising one son and two daughters, Linda was very involved in many community activities. Linda earned her degree as a licensed practical nurse and worked at Brooks Memorial Hospital. After her children were raised, Linda became a health care aide for Chautauqua Opportunities in Dunkirk. She also worked with her husband, Mark on their family farm and participated in the Fredonia Farmers’ Market.

Her other memberships included the Gowanda Railroad and Buffalo Group and the TOPS Organization in Dunkirk.

Linda was a woman of great faith in God. She had been a member of Holy Trinity Church in Dunkirk, N.Y., and spent 37 years as a CCD teacher for children, became involved with Faith Formation classes at Holy Trinity, a Marriage Renewal counselor for the Buffalo Diocese, and a teacher’s aide at Holy Trinity School in Dunkirk.

Besides her husband, Mark, Linda is survived by her daughters: Denise (Kevin) Catalano-Dyche of Bloomington, Ind., Christina (Adam) Ahrens of Dunkirk, N.Y.; and her daughter-in-law, Lorrie Catalano. Linda was blessed with three grandchildren: Angel Catalano, Jordan and Samantha Dyche; and several nieces and nephews. She will be greatly missed by her sisters: Carolyn Ardillo of Fredonia, N.Y., Mary Kreger of Sheridan, N.Y., and Betty White of Fredonia, N.Y.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Joseph Catalano; grandchildren: Jasmine, Sean and Michael Seybold; brother, John Mancuso; and sisters: Rose Boll and Carmela White.

A 10 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, Oct. 3, 2020, at Holy Trinity Church in Dunkirk, N.Y. with the Rev. Daniel Walsh officiating. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Mass.

Interment will be in Holy Trinity Cemetery in Dunkirk, N.Y.
