Susan White Buck

Susan White Buck, 47, of Dunkirk, passed away suddenly on Monday (April 19, 2021) at home after a courageous battle with ovarian cancer.

She was born in Dunkirk on Oct. 26, 1973, the daughter of Dianna (Lilly) White-Corter and the late David White and stepfather, Dave Corter.

A lifelong resident of the area, Susan graduated from Fredonia High school with the class of 1991. She then obtained her computer technology associates degree from Jamestown Business College. She was previously employed by Ameriprise in Dunkirk, Johnson Mackowiak and Associates in Fredonia and most recently employed at Evergreen Health in Jamestown surrounded by her loved coworkers and friends.

Susan was an active member of the Northern Chautauqua Conservation Club as well as president of the Ladies Auxiliary for the Conservation Club. She took an active role in the clubs annual fishing tournament and various fundraisers.

She will be sadly missed by her chocolate lab, Coco.

Beside her mother, she is survived by a daughter, Alison (Jory Holbrook) Wahl and a precious granddaughter, Lilly Holbrook of Dunkirk; twin sisters: Brenda (Brian) Schneider of Forestville and Vicki (Mark) Zembryski of Arkwright. Also survived by her longtime companion, Milt Quandt of Dunkirk; and his son, Bud (Julie) Quandt of Kenmore; as well as several nieces and nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and a great-nephew.

Due to COVID-19 a private memorial service will be held at the convenience of the family.

In lieu of flowers, Susan personally requested that donations be made to Shaylah’s Canine Commands, 8 Main St., Forestville, NY 14062. Donations will go directly to providing service dogs to disabled veterans.
