Waldo W. Haskins

Waldo W. Haskins, 95, of Forestville, passed away Monday, June 21, 2021, at home after a lengthy illness.

Born April 24, 1926 in Jamestown, a son of the late John A. and Margurite Goldthwait Haskins.

Waldo was a veteran of World War II serving as a sergeant in the U.S. Army from 1944-46.

He was employed as a truck driver for the former Art Metal, Benny Edwards and Fred Pace Excavating, Falconer until his retirement do to being disabled in 1974.

He was a member of the Cassadaga Memorial American Legion Post 1280.

Waldo was talented mechanically and was a “Mr. Fix it”, he loved working outdoors, tractors, cows and people. Everyone affectionately referred to him as “Dad”.

Husband of 61 years to Coral N. Muntz Haskins, whom he married Nov. 2, 1959; father of Sue (David) Hammersley, Brenda (Dan) Warner, Susan Fanale, Waldo (Mary) and Rodney (Melanie) Haskins, Sharon (Fred Battle) Williams, Tim (Emma Brown) Haskins, Pamela (Eric) Graham, Coleen (Jeff) Gordon and the late Jerry Haskins, Carolanna Johnson, Bryan Fanale and Faith Harrington. Also survived by numerous grand, great-grand and great-great- grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Waldo was also preceded in death by his siblings.

Visitation will be held from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Friday in Riccardi’s Jordan Funeral Home, Sinclairville with the funeral service will be held at11 a.m. Saturday in the funeral home. Burial in Charlotte Center Cemetery.
