BROCTON – Wendy L. (Rose) O’Malley, 65, of East Main Street, Brocton, N.Y., passed away at her home Saturday, July 31, 2021, with her loving husband and daughter near her side following a 13 year battle with breast cancer.

Wendy was born in Dunkirk, N.Y., on Dec. 1, 1955, daughter to the late Lee J. and Jean (Schultz) Rose.

She attended elementary school at the Campus School in Fredonia, N.Y.. and graduated from Fredonia High School in 1973. Following high school Wendy attended and graduated from the Jamestown School of Practical Nursing in 1974. She worked for Brooks Memorial Hospital for many years as an licensed practical nurse In 2000, she graduated magna cum laude from Gannon University in Erie, Pa. as a physician assistant. She mainly practiced Family Medicine, Internal Medicine and ENT in Jamestown until 2017.

Wendy is survived by her husband, Timothy J. O’Malley, of Brocton; and their children: daughter Marisa (Eric) Fisher of Jamestown, and their children, Elias, Oliver, and Adeline; son, Daniel O’Malley of Charlottesville, Va., and his children: Brian, Connor, Kaitlin, Meghan and Kileigh; and daughter, Lauren O’Malley of Madison, Ala., and her son, Levi. She is also survived by her siblings: sister, Deborah (Dennis) Moser of Utah, and their children, Michelle and Kristina; brother, Gary Lee Rose of Wichita, Kansas; and brother, Ken (Nancy) Rose of Cassadaga, NY.

Family and friends may call at the MORSE FUNERAL HOME, 51 Highland Ave., Brocton, N.Y., on Thursday, Aug. 5, from 6-8 p.m., where funeral services will be held there Friday Aug., 6, 2021, at 11 a.m., with the Rev. Jim Wittherington officiating. Burial will follow in Portland Evergreen Cemetery.
