Laurie A. (Whitesell) Haskin

Laurie was born June 13, 1961, in Punxsutawney, Pa., a daughter to Glade and Kay (Schrecongost) Whitesell.

She attended Westfield Academy and Central School and was a graduate of the class of 1979. Following graduation, Laurie worked at various businesses in the area before starting her own cleaning business.

Laurie enjoyed gardening, collecting beach glass and enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She had a love for baking especially for birthdays and holidays. She was an avid Buffalo Bills fan.

Laurie was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Westfield, N.Y., and member of the American Legion Post 327 also of Westfield.

Haskin Jr.; her children: Jason Whitesell (Stefanie) and Jeffery Schermerhorn; her beloved sisters: Terri (Brett) MacCubbin, Paula Whitesell, and Marsha Whitesell; and cherished grandchildren: Logan, Mason, and Madelyn Whitesell, and Ryan Schermerhorn. Several nieces, nephews and close friends also survive.

Laurie was preceded in death by her father, C. Glade Whitesell, who passed away Nov. 13, 2013.

Family and friends are invited to attend visitation at the MORSE FUNERAL HOME, 51 Highland Ave., Brocton, N.Y., on Tuesday, Oct. 19, 2021, from 4-7 p.m. Funeral services and burial will be held privately.
