Eugene “Jim” Charry, 93, of Silver Creek, N.Y., passed away on Tuesday morning Nov. 9, 2021, at the Harris Hill Nursing Facility in Williamsville, N.Y.
He was born on Aug, 11,1928, in Buffalo, N.Y., the son of the late Walter and Theresa Charry. He lived for many years in North Tonawanda before moving to Silver Creek.
Survivors are three sons: John (Tammy) and Jim Charry of Silver Creek, and Josef Charry of Forestville, N.Y.; four step-sons: Kyle (Laurie) Roche of Derby, N.Y., Tim (Christine) Roche of Silver Creek, John Roche of Hamburg and Todd Roche of Florida; a step-daughter, Roxanne Roche of Angola, N.Y.; two granddaughters; Sarah and Brooke Charry; a great-grandson, Owen John Warner; six step-grandchildren: Haley (Matt) Urbanski, Dylan, Sean and Devin Roche, Alicia Halstrom and Vincent Kiley; six step- great-grandchildren” Cameron, John, Madelyn and Olivia Halstrom and Emma and Lilly Kiley; by his loving sister, Irene Bernardi of Silver Creek; also survived my many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Alfrieda (Schroer) Charry; his second wife, Alice Roche; a step-son, Randy Roche; a brother, Raymond Charry; and a sister, Alice Wichelns.
Eugene worked in the construction industry for many years. He retired from Oak Grove Construction Co. in Buffalo as an operating engineer.
Eugene was an avid fisherman and in his younger years he enjoyed hunting, he also loved his canine companions especially, Tera.
Friends may call at the Hole-Parker Funeral Chapel, 160 Central Ave. Silver Creek, N.Y., on Monday, Nov. 15, 2021, from 4-7 p.m., where a funeral service will be held on Tuesday, Nov. 16, 2021, at 11 a.m. Interment will be made in The Glenwood Cemetery.
