Paul Thomas John Hageman PHD

Born in Woodlawn on June 8, 1946.

Paul married the former Sharon L. Post in West Seneca, March 21, 1970.

A retired Professor of more than 30 years at D’Youville College, Paul was instrumental in getting the chiropractic curriculum accredited for the college .

Paul graduated from Lakeshore High, he earned his nursing degrees; AAS, NCC, BSN, DYC, MSN University of Buffalo and PHD in Nursing from New York University . Paul embraced and treasured teaching at D’Youville and enjoyed the mentoring he did with his students throughout the years and was proud of the fact all his degrees were in nursing. He and Sharon are members of St. Joseph’s RC Church in Gowanda.

Paul is survived by his wife, Sharon L. Hageman of nearly 52 years along with his children: Jessica A. Hageman of Gowanda, Paul T.J (PJ) Jr. and PJ’s wife, Tristin Hageman of Gowanda. Paul is also survived by his greatest joys, his grandchildren: Kaylah, Jules and Theodore Hageman.

One of 11 children born to Carl W. Sr. and Anna (Dekarz) Hageman, Paul is survived by a brother, Arthur Hageman of Evans along with several nieces and nephews .

Besides his parents, Paul was preceded in death by his siblings: Clara, Lawrence, Robert , Carl Jr., Beverly (Hartloff), Richard, Martin, Joseph and James Hageman .

Friends may call Sunday, Jan. 16, 2022, from 2-4 p.m. at the SCHINDLER FUNERAL HOME, 44 Center St. Gowanda (masks required) a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday, Jan. 17, 2022 at 11a.m., from the St. Joseph’s RC Church East Main St Gowanda. (please assemble at church masks required) Interment will be in Mt. Hope Cemetery West Seneca.

Memorials, if desired , may be made to a local charity of ones choice .
