Suzanne Lynn (Meyer) Feser

Suzanne Lynn (Meyer) Feser

Suzanne Lynn (Meyer) Feser, 70, of Dunkirk, N.Y., entered into eternal rest on Thursday, June 16, 2022. She was born on August 5, 1951, the daughter of the late John and Elaine (Mekus) Meyer. She was a 1969 graduate from Dunkirk High School.

Sue was a dedicated mother first and foremost, spending many years as a homemaker taking care of her family. She worked for Amcor Rigid Plastics for eight years, retiring in 2011.

She was an excellent cook, baker, and was treated like a second mom by so many of her daughter’s friends, simply because she was someone you could always count on. Sue was also known for her infectious smile, contagious laugh and the ability to get into character to tell a good joke. She loved bingo, playing cards, dice games, sewing, reading books, Sudoku and crossword puzzles. She also loved the sunshine, beaches, the smell of fresh cut grass, and anything turquoise colored. Sue was a lifelong Buffalo Bills fan and looked forward to the football season every year. While Sue may never speak the words “I love you, darlin!” again, they will forever be cherished by her daughters.

Sue is survived by her four daughters: Tamsen Feser (Eric) Butske of Elyria, Ohio, Jennifer Feser Gwyn of Gainesville, Ga., Michelle Feser (Mike) Schober of Glendale, Ariz., and Jill Feser (Rick) Gallant, also of Glendale, Ariz. Three sisters: Joan Martell, Melinda Wilmot and Wendy Fitzer, all from Dunkirk, N.Y. Four grandchildren: Jayden and Jaxon Butske of Elyria, Ohio, Cameron and McKenna Gwyn of Gainesville, Ga.; and several nieces and nephews.

She is also survived by her ex-husband and dear friend, Thomas Feser. She was loved so very much and will be sadly missed by all of her family and friends.

Sue was an applicant of the Body Donation Program used for medical research. It was her final act of kindness knowing that her passing could provide some good in the world. Through selfless generosity, her legacy will impact the future of medicine and benefit patients for years to come. We hope that by mentioning the Body Donation Program, it will remind others that this is an option and worth exploring.

At Sue’s request, there will be no funeral or memorial service. Instead, family will notify loved ones in the future when a celebration of life ceremony will occur.
