Forgetting about the Americans

Well, Mr. and Mrs. America, it finally happened. The swamp in Washington, D.C., finally showed its true identity and sunk this country into a low that has not been seen for decades.

The Democrats have shown the whole nation how they really feel about those of us who are true Americans — those who every day pay for the mistakes that are made in our capital on a regular basis.

Our government was at a standstill, all because of the illegals who have entered our country either at an early age or just climbed over the fence. Maybe they want to become citizens, or maybe they are just bringing into this country the drugs that are killing our youth. Either way, none of these illegals have applied for citizenship while in this country, some for decades.

These are the same elected officials in Washington who are against the wall. These same politicians are against anything that makes sense. Their only goal is to take care of the illegals.

The rest of this country can be in turmoil, but they just don’t care about the real Americans who have either lived here as real citizens and those who came here from a European country. Those who came here from Europe had to go through Ellis Island, speak English and try to find a job. Nothing was given to these new arrivals from Europe, but they were glad to just put their feet on free American soil.

Now we see these politicians want the same for those who are in this country illegally. Where were these leaders when these illegals were here with no one informing them that they must be citizens to remain in this country? Only now are they so concerned about these people that we shut our government down.

Some in Washington, D.C. could care less about the rest of those who live here, pay taxes here, have their citizenship here. But that doesn’t seem to matter.

Shutting down our government puts the light of decency in a dark tunnel. The American people should be mad as hell.
