The OBSERVER must be the first newspaper to tell a sitting president he should “shut his mouth.”

One recent editorial claimed President Trump said Sen. John McCain leaked a document that was supposed to impact the election. He said that after the whole country knew about it.

Yes, we should honor those who risked their lives in times of war or anytime for that matter. Those who die in their act of courage are immortalized, but those who lived do not get a free right of passage in this political world.

What John McCain did in his quest to destroy Trump was an act of hatred toward our president. The historians, if they care for the truth, will record these acts of deliberate malice, along with his heroic deeds. I wish you would write about those that speak and write fake news like CNN and MSNBC plus some of the large newspapers.

It is not my preoccupation to dwell nor is it my desire to discuss the unhealthy fray that has consumed our country. But there comes a time one should step forward and speak up and point your finger at the news media that makes a sham of the First Amendment. “Obstructionists” is the best word to describe those I just mentioned.

Add to the list Progressives/Democrats. I try to put a timeline when the liberal/progressives wiggled their way into the Democratic Party.

I would guess it started in the Clinton era, but their foothold was planted during the Obama administration. They were good. They adopted the “politically correct” policy that if you did not vote or disagreed with them you were a racists. How about all of the other social manifestations? What gender should be labeled on the restroom doors? How about the statues of Confederate generals? They had to come down.

Obama spent his traveling time apologizing to the world for our past transgressions perpetrated by our ancestors and his wife “never felt good about America until her husband was elected president.” I liked to tell my children, my grandchildren and my great-grandchildren that our ancestors did what they had to do to survive. My grandfather, by the way, fought with the Union Army during the Civil War. In case there is a misunderstanding, the Union side was from the north!

While the Democrats are “overhauling,” or you might say, “ruining” our country they added another wish to their list — reparation to the blacks because their ancestors were slaves. Think about it. What if the relatives of the slave owners demanded reparations for the money lost when the slaves were freed? Where would this take us? Now one of their geniuses came up with the idea of lowering the voting age to 16. Add sanctuary cities to this deplorable list.

We have been flighting wars all over he world to keep the bad guys out of our country so we won’t have to fight them here. So the Liberals/Progessives want to have open borders and let everyone — and I mean everyone — in.

The OBSERVER could, if they wished, reflect on the many things President Trump has accomplished, plus more if he was not burdened with the witch hunt. Now that the Mueller report has vindicated the President will the Liberal/Progressives accept the findings? I doubt it.

It is not in their agenda, in their quest, to destroy America. We should be more concerned with the antics of the liberal/ progressives than fearing “Climate Change!”
