Reality lost in fairy-tale mission

The ongoing war against President Trump attempting to destroy his presidency and remove him from office by Democrats is proof that the Democratic coup d’etat continues after nearly three years.

Speaker Nancy Pelosi recently spoke touchingly about our democracy being under attack and how we should pray for the nation, ignoring the fact that members of her own caucus are leading the attack. When the Mueller Report failed to find impeachable offences committed by the president, Democrats looked just about anywhere for dirt.

A leader in this effort was U.S. Rep. Adam Schiff, who I think is a rather strange man, which has nothing to do with the fact that he looks vaguely like a Grinch who has not yet turned a bright adult Grinch green. Like the Grinch, Schiff is not guided by any moral code but only by what suits his twisted ends. Just as the heartless “Grinch” looked greedily down on “Whoville” early on Christmas morning, Schiff looked at the White House with visions of mayhem dancing about his tiny Grinch heart.

He created his own version of the president’s phone call and lied about contact with the whistleblower prior to the call being made public. Did you notice that when Schiff told these Grinch like lies, he never made eye contact with his audience or the cameras? On investigation I found that this is a characteristic of Grinches who don’t want to see the reaction of others to their lies.

Here is how I think this tall tale got started back in July or whenever this hopelessly twisted and convoluted move by the national media and Democrats to discredit the President began. A White House leaker, probably a career CIA employee, alerted Schiff to a call the president had made to the Ukrainian president. He likely mentioned the call transcript was in a top-secret computer file that had become standard procedure for presidential telephone call transcripts after calls made to the Australian prime minister and the president of Mexico early in the administration had been leaked. A wicked Grinch smile crossed Schiff’s face at that and then he cackled, “But we won’t say that. We’ll say it’s a coverup! Those idiots in Whoville and flyover country will believe anything.”

The CIA leaker probably advised Schiff that nothing in the call was illegal or constituted a high crime. Here another Grinch like and slightly green smile crossed Schiff’s face and he replied in a low deep almost demonic voice, “When we get done with him it will appear that Trump was doing the devils work.”

Schiff probably advised the leaker that they needed to cover their tracks. He told them to tell a fellow Democratic careerist in the CIA about the call and have him file a “whistleblower” complaint because that would protect all involved from public scrutiny, protect their identities and shield the leakers relationship with Schiff and other Democrats. Then Schiff likely said this to the leaker; “If anyone asks about this, tell them that you and I have never spoken. The truth must not get out,” he said with an evil Grinch snarl.

When the meeting ended Schiff could barely contain his mounting Grinch glee at the story he was concocting and the mayhem it would create in Washington and the nation. With his Grinch eyes glowing a demonic red he snickered, “Now I can I destroy this man who should never have been President. He doesn’t act like presidents before him, and he doesn’t see politics in the same way a Grinch does; as a blood sport with the winner getting all the presents.”

Finally, the story was released and the chattering and whining from Democrats and from CNN, and MSNBC reached new levels of rage. Shouts of ‘Impeach him!’ were heard. Schiff held hearings of the Intelligence Committee, first in public until the acting head of national security would not give the answers Schiff was looking for.

Then, like the Grinch, who did his dirty work in the dark of night, he declared that henceforth the hearings would be behind closed doors and no Republicans or Whos would be allowed. Then he set his poor bedraggled Grinch dog, still wearing his tree branch antler, to guard the door.

Here it’s important to point out that contacts with foreign leaders is normal for presidents and one way of furthering their foreign policy and political goals. One instance of this is seen in the transcript of a Feb. 8, 2000, phone conversation between President Bill Clinton and British Prime Minister Toni Blair that I downloaded from the Clinton Library.

Among the issues discussed was one of a domestic political nature brought up by Clinton who said, “We put some more ideas down to resolve the airport dispute we have with British Airways, USAir and American Airlines.’

Blair replied he wasn’t completely familiar with the matter. Clinton replied, “We’ve been dealing with this for years and its sort of a big deal here. … In a political season (VP Al Gore was running for president), it would be a big deal over here to get this open sore resolved. … If you could have someone take a look at it.”

Why the Democrats are going to such lengths to attack the president? The answer is Democrats fear what the Justice Department’s Inspector General’s report and an investigation led by John H. Durham, the U.S. attorney for Connecticut, may find and need to deflect attention from those investiagations..

I have attempted to take a light approach to the tragedy in Washington where a coup continues to remove a legally elected president whose only crime is that the elites hate him. This flies in the face of all I hold dear about our nation and make me wonder what kind of nation my grandchildren will come of age in.
