At a recent Silver Creek Village Board meeting, a letter from Attorney Lee Towne Adams was read in which he offered from his clients, Mr. and Mrs. Allen Reppenhagen, the “oldest house in Silver Creek,” if the village board would move it from its present location. The house on the corner of Jackson and Arch streets, now owned by the Reppenhagens, was built in 1809 by Artemis Clothier and has been in continuous use since. The board declined the offer thanks, saying they would not know where to put it, not having property available.
