Thirty years ago – 1991

A “Do You Remember?” photo shows nine sailors from Dunkirk who went into the military service together and posed for this picture back in October 1940. The continued to serve their country during World War II. Pictured are Andy Jochym, Sievert Hawke, Fred Bryant, John Schoonmaker, Fred Begier, Allen C. Bryant, Don Blair, Seaman Messina and Larry Weller. The photo was submitted by Fred S. Begier of Dunkirk.

Forty years ago — 1981

Leslie Belmondo of Silver Creek has been commuting to Buffalo as a participant in Ch. 7’s “A.M. Buffalo” show. As the winner of a contest sponsored by a Buffalo department store, Leslie was given a “complete makeover” with “before” pictures taken along with “after” results which were seen on this morning’s broadcast. Blonde Leslie, petite with natural good looks, is the wife of David Belmondo, an OBSERVER display sales representative.
