Clinton ‘struggle’ is not reality

Hillary Clinton whined to an interviewer this week that when she and former President Bill Clinton left the White House in 2001, they were “dead broke.” She explained they “struggled to, you know, piece together the resources for mortgages, for houses, for Chelsea’s education.”

She just doesn’t get it. There is an enormous difference between being out of work and broke and being out of work, broke – and with a mailbox full of speaking and consulting invitations, some carrying five-figure paychecks for a few hours of effort.

The Clintons are millionaires, now – and knew they would be when they left the White House.

They never were really “dead broke.” And as for struggling, millions of Americans know what that means.

Hillary Clinton does not.
