Schools: Class acts at musicals

Our annual showcase of talent is in full swing at area schools with a full slate of weekend performances.

Of note is the musical “Tarzan,” which will be performed by students at Westfield Academy and Central Schools. It will be the first time this musical is being presented in Western New York and it will be with a minor twist. Even though it is a Westfield production, it is taking place at Chautauqua Lake.

Also this weekend, “Mary Poppins” is at Cassadaga Valley Central School; “Anything Goes” is at Fredonia and “Little Women” is at Silver Creek. Separate performances of “Shrek the Musical” by Brocton and Dunkirk took place at the end of February.

Our thanks and congratulations to all schools and students participating.
