ATHENEX Builders showed care for community

The OBSERVER's View

Over the weekend, the project director for Exyte U.S. — which is overseeing the building of the Athenex plant near the city border of Dunkirk — offered his thanks to the community. Lee Ogle, in his letter, noted he and his team had been working in the community for 18 months.

“We moved to the area to construct the Athenex project and quickly found a community that was very welcoming and supportive of our team and efforts building a world-class facility in your community,” he wrote in the letter published in the Sunday OBSERVER.

Ogle also mentioned how his company was happy to partner with so many non-profits in the community. Over the summer, his team made a major impact when more than $65,000 was put back into the region’s charities through a Divots for Dunkirk golf tournament that was held with the help of the Northern Chautauqua Community Foundation.

There’s visible signs of Athenex in the structure today. Those who helped build it, have more than helped contribute to our region.
