Fredonia: Still more to celebrate

It has been an eventful week in Fredonia as “Small Business Revolution” has been making the rounds to the seven shops it plans to feature in Season Five. On Tuesday, Literacy Volunteers of Chautauqua County was visited and on Wednesday Fresh & Fancy Flowers & Gifts was a destination.

Three more businesses are to be visited before Friday when the community comes together to welcome the show and its hosts Amanda Brinkman and Ty Pennington. The event will take place in Barker Common on Park Place and Church Street near the park.

The celebration, from 6 to 9 p.m., includes a street party featuring music by Frank Beach and the Rising. There will be food vendors and surprise guests and performances throughout the celebration.

Seven hundred residents were in attendance for the Jan. 28 announcement — inside the Opera House and outside. This is just as big for the village.
